Travel & AI Disclosures

Explore broadly. Verify precisely.

Flight Outlier is built to surface possibilities, not to replace the final checks that protect a trip. Prices, awards, rules, and AI answers can all change or be wrong.

Never transfer points or make a nonrefundable purchase based only on Flight Outlier. First confirm the exact itinerary, cabin, travelers, availability, total price, fees, restrictions, and cancellation rules directly with the provider.

1. What a displayed fare means

Flight Outlier can show multiple kinds of fare evidence. Read the label and timestamp on the result:

A displayed amount may differ from the final amount because of availability, search timing, currency conversion, taxes, carrier-imposed charges, booking or payment fees, baggage, seat selection, traveler eligibility, number of passengers, point-transfer timing, or a provider’s own pricing and personalization practices. A result can disappear at any time.

Unless a result expressly says otherwise, do not assume that it is refundable, changeable, nonstop, available for every passenger, in the cabin shown for every segment, or inclusive of every optional charge. Confirm airports and dates carefully, including overnight arrival, airport changes, mixed cabins, separate tickets, and self-transfers.

2. Award travel, points, and transfers

Award inventory and program rules are controlled by the relevant airline, loyalty program, bank, or other provider. Award prices can be dynamic, phantom availability can occur, and taxes, surcharges, partner-booking restrictions, household or account rules, expiration policies, and transfer times may apply.

Point balances entered in Flight Outlier are planning inputs; they are not verified bank or loyalty balances. A displayed transfer route or valuation is an estimate, not a guarantee that you are eligible, that a transfer bonus applies, or that points will arrive before an award disappears.

Point transfers are often irreversible. Check live award space for every traveler, sign in to the correct accounts, confirm the transfer ratio and minimum, read the program rules, and consider transfer time before moving points.

3. AI answers can be wrong

The Flight Outlier AI assistant generates responses using a probabilistic model and available travel context. It can misunderstand your request, omit an important restriction, combine incompatible facts, use stale information, make a calculation error, or state an unsupported answer confidently. Even a cited or data-grounded response may become outdated.

Use AI output to frame questions and discover options—not as proof of a live fare, bookable award, schedule, transfer partner, program rule, entry requirement, safety condition, or legal obligation. Verify consequential details with the airline, loyalty program, booking provider, government agency, or another authoritative source.

The AI does not provide legal, immigration, medical, tax, financial, emergency, or safety advice. For an urgent travel or safety issue, contact the airline, airport, local emergency services, insurer, relevant government authority, or other qualified source.

Prompts are sent to an AI service provider. Do not include passwords, payment-card data, passport or government-ID details, health records, or loyalty-account credentials. See the AI data section of the Privacy Notice.

4. Affiliate-link disclosure

Flight Outlier may earn a commission if you follow certain links and complete a purchase or other qualifying action. We aim to label those links clearly and place the disclosure near the recommendation or link.

Affiliate compensation supports the service, but you should still compare alternatives and decide independently whether an offer is right for you. The third party—not Flight Outlier—sets the price and terms, processes payment, fulfills the purchase, handles changes and refunds, and controls its website and data practices. Affiliate compensation does not guarantee that an option is the lowest price, best value, or appropriate for your trip.

5. Who handles a booking

Flight Outlier currently provides discovery and planning software. It does not itself issue tickets, make reservations, collect travel-purchase payments, hold inventory, operate flights, or control a provider’s loyalty program. Completing a purchase or redemption on another site creates an agreement between you and that provider under its terms.

Contact the provider that took the payment or issued the ticket for booking confirmation, receipts, schedule changes, cancellations, refunds, charge questions, baggage, seating, check-in, accessibility services, or disruptions. Keep the provider’s confirmation and review it immediately.

6. Traveler responsibilities

You are responsible for evaluating and confirming:

Consider travel insurance based on your own needs and read its coverage, exclusions, and claim requirements. Flight Outlier does not sell or recommend a specific insurance policy through this disclosure.

7. If something looks wrong

Do not proceed just because a result is attractive. Re-run the search with the provider and review the final checkout page. If a Flight Outlier result, link, or AI statement appears materially wrong, capture the displayed source, route, dates, timestamp, and issue, then email ryan@flightoutlier.com. Reports help us improve the private pre-release service but do not preserve a fare or create a booking.
